Atticus and I met Bree and Charley at Great Strides, an annual CF walk and we were sitting with Bree watching Charley who was intently watching a pick up game of volleyball. There was music playing and Bree started “assisting” Atticus as he played some mean air banjo. Unfortunately I only caught the last few bars before the song was over. I love how serious he stayed, like he was on a mission!

A couple years before Atticus was born, Christine found a stuffed pillbug at an Ikea in New York so, of course, she got it for me. We named him, ‘Pill Haverchuck’ after the character, ‘Bill Haverchuck’ from the short lived tv show, ‘Freaks and Geeks.’ Christine used Pill as a back pillow through much of her pregnancy so it seemed natural for Atticus to hang with him once he was born.
